Description
**THIS IS CURRENTLY IN ALPHA! AND IS MEANT FOR DEDICATED SERVERS** A galaxy of factions, ranks, and stories. StarWars RP is a faction-driven multiplayer roleplay gamemode for s&box, it is based off of the old Gmod gamemode. Pick a side, climb your faction's rank tree, earn credits, and write your character's story alongside everyone else on the server. What's in it • Framework, not just a gamemode — three starter factions ship in (Vanguard, Crimson, Pact), but every faction, regiment, job, rank, weapon, item, and power is fully data-driven. Create as many as you want from the in-game Server Owner Panel — no code edits needed. • Blaster + saber combat — hitscan and projectile blasters, energy blades with swing arcs, blocking, parries, and bolt deflection. Charge / burst / beam / full-auto fire modes; bouncing / homing / arcing / splitting projectiles; movement-aware spread; throwables (explosive / sticky / impact / smoke). • Force-equivalent powers — channel abilities with costs, cooldowns, and cast times, gated by job. Alignment shifts toward Order or Chaos as you use them, unlocking different branches. • Persistent progression — credits, ranks, alignment, regiment memory, playtime, and inventory all survive disconnects and server restarts. • Vendor economy — buy and sell gear with credits earned through paydays. Per-vendor stock and pricing, configurable live in-game. • Addon ecosystem — mount additional sbox.game packages at runtime. Custom weapons, jobs, models, and sounds drop in without restarting. • Map-agnostic — works on any community map. Press K to switch maps with permissions; add spawn points, vendors, and faction-restricted doors via slash commands. Map creators only need simple tag conventions — no gamemode-specific types in their .vmap. • Complete admin tooling — bans, freezes, noclip, audit logs, permission roles, training assignment, vendor and resource override panels. Every action gated by granular per-role permissions. For server owners This is a dedicated-server-only package. Run `sbox-server.exe` with `+gamemode codira.starwarsrp +host_map conny.venator`, log in once on your own server to seed your admin permissions, and you're live. Player profiles persist to disk; addons drop into the `Addons/` directories and are picked up on restart.
