Brews & Bruises
| Summary | Grab a drink and throw some fists! |

| Description |
[Image] Grab a drink, put up your fists, and have a right brawl. Brews & Bruises is a first-person boxing roguelike. The goal is to beat your opponent in 1v1 fighting, use the money earned to buy drinks with varying effects, and fight for one more round. Features on tap: • 25 drinks that give the player temporary and permanent stat changes (strength, speed, size, even special attacks!) • Pick up furniture and chuck it at your foe - or just have your fists do the talking • Fight random challengers, each with their own aggression levels and size • 2 bar bosses to go toe-to-toe with A special thanks from the staff. • All the playtesters! Both people from my own community and the larger S&box community- your feedback has been invaluable to developing these ideas! Something to look forward to As you all know, you can't get to everything in a game jam. I think this is a great game for the time I had to dedicate, but I want to make it better in the future. To hold myself accountable, I'm putting the core ideas here:• Multiplayer - duke it out with your friends in a sandbox-styled bar fight. Respawns, drinks, server stats. All the customization that comes with it! • Tournament love - I wanted to have 3 bosses in total for the game jam, but that didn't come to pass. I do plan on adding two more, making the final total four bosses. • Wave-based gamemode - One of the bosses I wanted to add revolved around spawning waves of enemies for the player to face as they tried to take down the one spawning them. I want to include this still, but also expand this into its own gamemode, something between Vampire Survivors and Call of Duty: Zombies. • A real love for stats - While I'm happy with the drinks I was able to add, I want to do more. I envision a game with upwards of 50 drinks, each with different rarity tiers. I also envision a game where the player can select presets before starting. I just wanted to include this here since this game was a real labor of love. I've learned a lot since I started learning game dev in December 2024, and it feels like I really found my groove with this submission. I'm gonna keep at it! NOTE: This is a submission for the 2026 S&box game jam - one more round.[Image]
