SummaryA downhill shopping cart racing game
Description
Grab a shopping cart. Point it downhill. Hope for the best. Loose Change is a downhill shopping cart racing game. Push off, tuck in and bomb down steep streets against rival riders, dodging traffic, pedestrians and bins, then spend your winnings on a faster cart. The hills - Maple Hill: leafy suburbs, gentle bends, speed bumps that throw you in the air. - Hyde Street: steep city drops between tower blocks, with traffic pulling out of the side streets. - Suicide Hill: a winding mountain road with a long drop on one side. Don't miss a corner. - Free Ride: no rivals, no entry fee, just you and a stopwatch. Career Race best-of-three matches against AI rivals to win prize money and unlock the next hill. In the garage, build your cart from 6 bodies, 6 fronts, 6 sets of wheels and 5 motors, paint it in one of 10 colours, and dress your rider from the s&box wardrobe. Crashes wear your parts down, so keep them polished. Race your ghost Every run is recorded. Beat your best time and your run becomes a see-through ghost you race against next time, with your gap shown at every checkpoint. Set the fastest time on a hill and you hold the world record: everyone else gets to chase your gold ghost. Play with friends Host a game and your friends join from the game list or your Steam friends list. Pick a hill together (anything someone in the lobby has unlocked), fill the grid with AI rivals if you like, and settle it best of three. Watch out for - Cars and trucks turning out of side streets - Pedestrians crossing (they don't come off well) - Bins, boxes, cones and falling rocks - Grass: it'll bog you down - Hitting anything too hard: you'll go over the handle Controls W push · A/D steer · **Shift** tuck for speed · S / Space brake · E pop a bottle of fizzy pop for a boost · R back on the road · Esc menu
