| Description |
I started this project because I wanted to make a enjoyable solo game and learn more about S&Box. The idea was simple, a similar game to "My Summer Car", but instead of a car you have a small boat and a fishing rod. I found that fishing became stale quickly. That shaped what I added: hunting, diving for scrap, cooking, police inspections, and more ways to look after and upgrade your boat. I added tasks that require a tiny bit of skill (or luck), like pouring oil in your engine or filling up the gas tank without spilling half the jug. The “One More Round” theme comes through most directly at the fish dealer. You can sell your catch or gamble its price on rock-paper-scissors, then keep pushing your luck. It also fits the feeling of making one more cast before heading home. I recorded many of the sound effects myself, including rain from my balcony, water, eating, and equipment sounds. 90% of the sounds you hear in the game were recorded by me. The game uses a mixture of custom assets, workshop content, and AI-assisted development.I started this project because I wanted to make a enjoyable solo game and learn more about S&Box.
