SummarySocial assassination. Solo vs AI rivals (work in progress) or up to 12 players. In English and French.
Description
You have a target. Someone has you. District is a game of social assassination in the spirit of The Ship. Every player is given a contract on another player — and is somebody else's contract. Find your mark in a crowd of look-alike civilians, kill them quietly, and collect. Somewhere out there, someone is doing the same to you. — THE RULES OF THE DISTRICT — ● Kill clean and the bounty is doubled. Get seen or heard, and the pay is cut — and the police come looking. ● Everyone is a witness — bystanders, shopkeepers, patrol officers, security cameras. Screams carry far. ● The cheaper the weapon, the higher the bounty : a plunger pays better than a knife. Contracts mature the longer your target survives. ● Disguise and counter-intelligence : change outfits at the wardrobe to shake your hunter. Buy tips from the informant to find your target — or pay them to lie about you. ● Stay human : eat, drink, rest. A neglected body collapses in public, and public is where killers thrive. ● Bank it or lose it : cash drops with your corpse. First to the goal — or the richest when the clock runs out — wins. ● No body, no case : drag corpses into dumpsters. What nobody finds, nobody investigates. ● Proximity voice chat : talk your way out — but only the people near you can hear, and your lips move. Rounds are fast, up to 12 players, and every one ends the way it should : with the full story printed on the front page of the local paper. ⚠ AI OPPONENTS — WORK IN PROGRESS You can start a game solo and fill it with AI-driven rivals. They hunt, flee, disguise themselves, buy tips and get arrested like anyone else — but they're still in active development, so expect the occasional dumb move. They're best used to fill out a lobby of human players. Multiplayer is where District shines. Playable in English and French.
